John Deere launches 6M tractors including two shorter-wheelbase versions, available in 2020.
Updated 6M Tractors now offer more options and feature a new cab design that will make jobs easier and more comfortable! In addition, the 6110M and 6120M models have been redesigned for better visibility and maneuverability.
The new 6M lineup includes three new models – the 6110M at 110 engine hp; 6120M at 120 engine hp; and the 6140M at 140 engine hp. For many customers, the 6140M is an ideal small-frame machine with a 4-cylinder engine and features 20-hp Intelligent Power Management for extra power when needed.
Other models in the line, with engine horsepower reflected in the last three digits of the model numbers, include the 6130M, 6145M, 6155M, 6175M and 6195M.
Wheelbase for the models range from 2400mm for the 6110M and 6120M, 2580mm for the 6130M and 6140M, 2769mm for the 6145M and 6155M and 2794mm for the 6175M and 6195M.
All these latest 6M Series tractors feature a newly designed cab with panoramic glass roof giving the operator visible control of overhead loads. The glass can be covered with sliding interior shade, and the cab is brighter and more modern in appearance, as well as quieter, with a rating of 70dB.
All the essential operating functions are located on the right-hand panel, which has been redesigned, while models equipped with the CommandQuad transmission can be optionally fitted with a Compact CommandArm, with the functions located on the armrest.
Three different gearbox options are offered on the new series. PowrQuad and AutoQuad are four-step powershift transmissions, while CommandQuad Plus offers fully automatic gear and range shifting without using the clutch. With EcoShift, the maximum speed of 40kph is achieved at a reduced engine speed of 1590rpm. In addition, AutoClutch means the operator can stop and restart the tractor simply by using the brake pedal.
Up to four mechanical or electric selective control valves (SCVs) are available; the latter is a new option available for the first time on these tractors. Switches on the electrohydraulic joystick are fully programmable, and direction of travel can be changed on both this and the mechanical joystick via a push button. Driver comfort is also enhanced by mechanical cab suspension and triple link suspension on the front axle, while 360 degrees LED lighting is an option.
The new four-cylinder models are powered by a 4.5-litre John Deere PowerTech EWL engine. The tractors also feature Intelligent Power Management (IPM) for the first time, which increases performance by 20hp for PTO work and transport, so the 6120M develops up to 140hp rated power with IPM.
The 6M will available later in 2020 and more information is available from Agriquip Machinery, your local trusted John Deere dealer.
